A. Wet Scrubber

Wet Scrubber is device which work on principle of counter-current by intimating contact of Liquid and Solid (SPM). This causes the Solid in gases to dissolve into water and removed from the gas stream. Wet scrubber is used for all type of fuel. This advantage makes it useful for boiler or any equipment to work on multi fuel fired.

With proper nozzle arrangement and flow rate we can achieve removal efficiency up to 99.99% or less than 50 mg./nm3. It can also on wide temperature range hence completely eliminating requirement of coolers for cooling the gases. It works with ETP treated water hence helps in reducing plant water consumption.

Wintech is a Wet Scrubber / Venturi Scrubber manufacturer from last 10 years in India. For variety of applications like Boiler, Kiln etc.

B. FGD- Flue Gas Desulphurization

The Wet FGD is same in working principle to that of WET Scrubber only the basic difference in both is in Wet FGD we use water + Chemical which helps in removing the Sulphur from flue gases coming from process like Boiler. The FGD helps in bringing sulphur Dioxide emission less than 30 PPM.

WinTech FGD comes in different configuration depending upon the requirement of customer and chemical in use. Following are the types of FGD manufactured and installed by WinTech. • Wet Lime/Limestone FGD • Caustic Scrubber/FGD • Ammonia FGD

C. DRY FGD- Flue Gas Desulphurization

The working principle of Dry FGD is completely different from Wet FGD. In Dry FGD the Lime slurry is sprayed in Reaction tower where it gets reacted with the incoming SOx from flue gas. The Lime gets evaporated

The dry comes in two types namely:
1. Spray Dry FGD
2. CDS/GSA FGD

SDA- Spray Dryer Absorber

In the SDAprocess, a concentrated lime slurry is introduced into the top of the absorber vessel through rotary atomisers or dual fuel nozzles. These atomise the slurry creating a fine mist of droplets containing the reagent, which reacts with SO2 and SO3 in the downward flowing flue gas to form calcium sulphite and sulphate. Simultaneous cooling of the flue gas from 150ºC or higher to as low as 17ºC above theadiabatic water saturation temperature occurs. Part of the dry waste products is collected in the bottom of the scrubber and the rest from the flue gas as it passes through the particulate collector. A portion of these solids is typically mixed with wastewater and recycled back to the scrubber to improve sorbent utilisation, as well as promoting droplet drying in the SDA vessel.

Modular Design
WinTech SDA comes in preassembled condition makes it easy for installation and quick start at site. This not only help in reducing site work and erection cost.

CDS- Circulating Dry Scrubber / GSA- Gas Suspension Absorber- FGD- Flue Gas Desulphurization.

WinTechGSA/CDS system based on the well provencirculating fluidized bed (CFB) technology. It has shownexcellent performance as a multi-pollutant control systemin just one step. The flue gas flows through a cylindricalapparatus (CFB scrubber). The scrubber inletuses multiple Venturi nozzles to increase gas velocity in order to support the fluidized bed. The bed materialin the fluidized bed consists of unreacted lime, whichis injected as a dry powder, reaction by-products, and fly ash. These materials are recirculated between thescrubber and the connected filter. In addition, processwater is injected separately into the scrubber in order to enhance the desulphurization capacity of the process.Waste water from other processes can be usedas process water, which is beneficial if waste water disposal is desired or if fresh water availability is limitedon site. To collect particulate matter exiting the scrubber, either a fabric filter or an electrostatic precipitator may be used. The separated material is recirculatedback into the scrubber by means of fluidized “air slide”conveyors. This recirculation system also regulates disposal of the by-product, which is a dry powder thatcan be landfilled or used beneficially as structural fillor in agricultural applications. Other equipment has also, been optimized and designed especially for theWinTech GSA/CDS. The lime hydrator, for example, can be made an integrated part of the overall WinTech GSA/CDS technology so that pebble (or “burnt”) lime (CaO) canbe used as the reagent, which is less expensive thanusing hydrated lime. The Major difference between GSA and CDS is former consist of cyclonic separator after the CFB tower and in later its completely absent. The use cyclone is useful to reduce the load on the Bag Filter and Bag life.

ADVANTAGES

WinTechGSA/CDS has been optimized for a minimumfootprint requirement and is, therefore, an excellentsolution where space for the necessaryplant is limited. With this system, no waste wateris generated. Also, the short implementation time, andthe low investment and maintenance costs are clearadvantages over comparable systems. The WinTech GSA/CDS has demonstrated its high availability inmultiple applications around the world.

Sea water FGD

Seawater FGD is the best process with low operating and maintenancecosts for use in coastal regions. WinTech has developed the seawaterFGD process by taking full advantage of the cooling water circuit downstreamof the condenser of power plants in coastal areas.

IDEAL SOLUTION FOR COASTAL PLANT

WinTech´s seawater FGD system is ableto work without additional absorbent, and there are no by-products or wastecreated that need further treatment or disposal. Raw flue gas enters the scrubberand is cleaned in counter-current by seawater. The principle applied here issimilar to the limestone process. WinTech offers an FGD scrubber basedon the well proven open spray tower Technology. In addition, WinTech also hasexperience with a packed tower design for seawater FGD systems. These systemsare beneficial in optimizing the plant’s footprint and efficiency at highSO2 inlet concentrations.

PRINCIPLE

The principle of our process is to makeuse of the natural alkalinity of seawater instead of using limestone solutionto absorb acidic substances in the flue gas. The SO2 is first converted into sulphite. Then the sulphite is oxidated to form sulphate in the CFD-optimizedaeration basin in order to maintain the pH, raise the DO (dissolved oxygen),and reduce the COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand). In the meantime, CO2 formedby the neutralization reaction is stripped by aeration membranes, and the pHvalue is increased consequently to meet legal requirements.

DeNOx- SCR- Selective Catalyst Reactor/ SNCR- Selective Non-Catalyst Reactor.

Next to theuse in power plants (high- and low-dustconfiguration), WinTech has successfullyinstalled SNCR/SCR technologies in waste incinerationand other industrial processes. We design our systems based on specificoperating parameters, catalyst geometry, flue gas compositions, and individualclient preferences while ensuringoptimum operation.

The location of a DeNOx/SCR/SNCR systemwithin the flue gas cleaning process depends on the type of fuel. WinTechtail-end configuration has proven to be highly effective in waste incinerationand biomass- fired plants. The active centers of catalysts are only exposedto a minimum of catalyst agents with the benefit of an extended lifetime.WinTech has also a proven trackrecord using its SCR/SNCR technology inhigh-dust applications for powerplants (coal, gas, oil).

While most tailendsolutions require a reheating system,it can be avoided in WinTechhigh-dust design which ultimately willsave investment and operating costs for our customers. WinTech extensivedatabase on catalyst lives for a variety of fuels gives us the advantage tooptimize each system individually with minimum catalyst volume.
